The Nederlandse Rugby League Bond would like to formally thank Matt Rigby for his outstanding service and dedication over the past ten years.
Over a decade of involvement with Dutch rugby league, Matt has been a consistent and trusted figure within the NRLB, contributing across governance, operations, competitions, and national team activity. His long-term commitment has played an important role in supporting the stability and development of the sport in the Netherlands during a period of both growth and challenge.
Throughout his time with the NRLB, Matt provided invaluable support behind the scenes, helping to ensure the smooth running of competitions and national programmes, while also contributing strategically to the organisation’s longer-term ambitions. His experience, professionalism, and willingness to step in wherever needed have been hallmarks of his involvement.
Matt’s contribution has extended to the international stage, where he has supported Dutch national teams and helped strengthen relationships within the wider European rugby league community. His understanding of the game and its structures has been particularly valuable in ensuring the Netherlands remains competitive, organised, and respected within international rugby league.
Beyond roles and titles, Matt has been a committed advocate for rugby league in the Netherlands.
